Critical Mass was formed by a group of like minded actors who had one wish, to develop a theatre company that could fit around their needs. The group is an ad hoc ensemble and the work was commissioned and rehearsed to fit around their lifestyle, as a non funded organisation the group has to be flexible enough to be able to cope with the pressures of rehearsals whilst allowing the actors to earn a living .
The Actors have been working on the play for over twelve months, workshopping scenes for Victor the writer to incorporate into the final script. It has been a an organic process, incorporating scenes and events from the life of the actors and using much of the language they would normally use to bring life to the characters.
In addition to workshopping scenes and rehearsing the play the actors also used their time together to develop their acting skills through the development of techniques and methods drawn from such greats as Vahktangov, Chekov and Demidov.
